GRAPHICS

For us, design is more than aesthetics — it is a tool to communicate ideas clearly, precisely and convincingly.

Our work ranges from individual applications such as logos, invitations, publications or websites to the development of coherent visual systems and corporate identities for cultural and scientific institutions as well as companies.

We always approach design in context: space, content and communication are developed as part of a coherent whole.

One of our key strengths is the integration of design, planning and production. This results in stage settings, exhibition architectures and complete spatial concepts — from initial idea to final execution.

We also develop and realise complex projects, such as large-scale temporary exhibitions of over 2,000 sqm with extensive structural elements, as a complete service.

SCIENCE

science - abstract photo

For many years, we have successfully supported research proposals — from design and concept development to close collaboration with the researchers involved.

In direct (online) conversations, a creative dialogue unfolds, refining and developing ideas until both form and message are clear and compelling.

Especially in the intense phases before submission or presentation, we manage to maintain focus and momentum — always keeping both the project and our clients in mind.

Working closely with our trusted network, we are able to realise even the most demanding design and technical projects with confidence.

In recent years, we have contributed to a wide range of major projects, including multiple funding phases of the PRISMA Cluster of Excellence (PRISMA, PRISMA+, PRISMA++), as well as work for UCT Mainz and UCT Frankfurt, and the development of corporate designs for research institutions and projects.

For individual scientific illustrations as well, the best results consistently emerge from direct collaboration between researchers and designers.

We look forward to hearing from you — feel free to get in touch with us directly.

TEAM

artefont was founded in 1999 by Tanja Labs and is today one of the leading agencies for design and production of events in the scientific and cultural field in the Mainz region.

Our team consists of a network of employees and collaborators from various disciplines.

We plan, design, and implement. From a small flyer to corporate design; from a small display-case exhibition to exhibitions in large halls; from a small on-site application review to a large city event, including tent planning, etc.

We look forward to hearing from you — feel free to get in touch with us directly.

FLAMINGO

The flamingo represents the unexpected side of our work.

Projects like this often emerge outside everyday business — driven by curiosity, by interest, and by the desire to make new possibilities accessible.

One example is a project on the island of Kihaadhoo in the Baa Atoll: artefont provided the local school with a 3D printer and introduced teachers to its use in the classroom through a series of workshops.

We look forward to hearing from you — feel free to get in touch with us directly.
